Mark is due to go away again tomorrow morning very early. I just cannot help but feel really stranded as I am unable to drive as we have SO much snow or even walk far.
He is feeling terrible about it but it is a compulsory annual meeting and they're staying at Heathrow. He will be back on Wedsnesday night so it is not too long.......
Please say a quick prayer that i can manage as my hip is twinging again (has held off remarkably well) and elbows are FULL of fluid and I can neither straighten them or bend them properly which makes writing and cooking very tricky! My knee has also swollen up a little and was only aspirated and injected a few weeks ago.

Hi Amanda, sorry you're having to be left in this position, its so hard when you cant get around due to the weather. Your joints sound really bad its going to be very hard for the couple of days. Is there someone who could at least get shopping etc for you? Will be thinking of you and send prayers, take care x BARBARA

Oooh Amanda - how horrible everything starting at once for you. I hope the children help you out. I read on another thread that you were due to start teaching tomorrow - is there any way you can postpone it? Keep warm and take care.

Hi Amanda,
thoughts and prayers that you manage whilst Mark is away. I'm hoping that there is someone who will/can offer to help you. As you might remember Stephen works away and there is no way I could cope without the help of my mum, in particular, whilst he is away. I remember that it was even more difficult when the children were younger. It must be especially difficult for you with 5 children to look after. Hope you are stocked up with enough food etc so that you are able to stay indoors until Mark returns. Sorry that your RA is flaring...seeing as it's several joints do you think a depo would help?
thinking of you hugs Diane x

hI Amanda, It must be scarey for you with Mark going away when you can't get out. We'll all be rooting for you and praying that everything runs smoothly while he's away. Of course, you could always dial 999 to the firemen next door for help if needed! Good luck. Love, Doreen xx

Thank you, and I like that idea, Doreen! They may ask why I called the fire and not the ambulance but I'll think of a good excuse! LOL
I am definitely not going to drive myself mad with lessons etc. Anyway Samuel still has the bandage on his right finger and claims writing is impossible! LOL He'll be given lots to read and maybe some interactive lessons on the internet that Mark has found.....
Love, Amanda

Shame you can't go with him Amanda, have a little break away from the children. You could spend time in the hotel spa etc. when Mark's in his meeting? Do you have any relatives that could have the children for a few days? I haven't been out for 13 days now due to the snow and ice which isn't doing my new hip any favours, I need to be walking more. Still, hopefully it will thaw this week. Carol

Hi Amanda, really hope pains subsides, but if not you will ring for help, wont you... xx Hope the time flys by till Mark is back... I'm thinking... maybe some interactive cookery lessons planned via computer (and what u have in the cupboards), with a practical session in the kitchen and then maybe followed up with nutritional discussions the next day.... xxxxx Rest up, look after those elbows and hippies xxxxx love Liz xx

Hi Amanda,
Agree not a good time for Mark to be away and sad to hear that your hip pain has reared it's ugly head again, - stock up on the chocs and red wine and the days will soon flyby.
Have e-mailed you,
love,
Barbara XXXXX
